School Discipline

1. The school lays as much emphasis on character formation, as on excellence in all school subjects. Great stress is laid on punctuality, regular attendance and discipline. Absence without prior permission on the first day of class after any vacation, is considered a serious offence. In case of new admission, pupils are liable to lose their seats, if they fail to report within a week after the school re-opens in June.

2. Every student must be in school five minutes before the first bell. If pupils are late, they are liable to be sent home, at the parent’s risk. No child is permitted to leave the school premises during the recess or otherwise, expect with the permission of the Principal. The school will not be held responsible if children are found missing after the school hours.

3. Children should take special care of the school property i.e. furniture, Library books, apparatus etc. Anybody found responsible for damaging the school property need to compensate back. It is their responsibility to keep the school premises clean.

4. Pupils are answerable to the school authorities for their conduct both in school and outside. Pupils shall always greet teachers, elders and friends in a pleasant manner. They shall be polite in speaking and must avoid the use of slang and impolite expressions. They ought to conduct themselves in a manner worthy of the dignity of a civilized human being. Misbehaviour justifies dismissal.

5. English is the official medium of communication in the school premises. All students need to follow that.

6. Students found indulged in any indiscipline activity like ragging, infighting, mis-behaviour, forming association and teasing in the school premises or school bus may end up with a minimum suspension of 10 days to Expulsion from School in maximum

Examinations & Promotions

1. Promotions are granted on the basis of the whole year’s work of the pupil. The final Examination alone is not a Promotion Examination. Hence the importance of regularity in attendance and work is needed. Pupils must therefore work steadily from the beginning of the year

2. Practical and Orals are also conducted under the syllabus of study.

3. No text books, note books or other papers are to be brought into the Examination Hall. Students must bring their own Stationery. They are not allowed to leave their seats without the permission of the Invigilator/Supervisor-in charge of the Examination Hall.

4. Students found copying or using unfair means during Assessment Tests/Examinations or discovered subsequently, will be dealt with severely.

5. The prompt checking of the Remarks and Pupil’s Reports is the responsibility of the parents/guardians.

6. Parents should contact the Principal if they suspect that the marks have been altered without the Class Teacher’s Initial.

7. All promotions and detentions are decided only after careful consideration of all aspects of the pupil’s progress. Hence the decision of the Principal in this regard is final and binding.

8. An application for the verification of marks in special cases may be considered, at the discretion of the Principal. Final Answer papers will not be shown under any circumstances.

9. The result of the Examination will be posted directly to the address of the parents or guardians and it will be withheld in case the school and other fee have not been paid.

10. Re-test / Pre-test (Exams before or after the scheduled time) will not be conducted in any circumstances. Hence, any kind of conversation in this regard will not be entertained.
